Riccardo moved to London in 2004 to study at the London Contemporary Dance School where he obtained his BA Hons and post graduate in performance in 2008.

He then started working as a dancer touring internationally.

Alongside performing He started to practice pilates and in 2013 he completed a Mat and Reformer Stott Pilates course at the YMCA in London and more recently achieved his full certification in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels.

He likes to tailor classes to his clients needs and can teach his classes in Italian and French!



Riccardo Vitello instructs the following:
  • Mat Barre
  • BARRE at 111 Pilates is a fun, challenging full-body workout which blends the movement and technique of Ballet with the precision of Pilates.

    Interval training at the barre and on the mat uses small, controlled movements and your own body weight to work every major muscle group.

    This is a dynamic class which is effective both on its own, or alongside Pilates practice.

    Expect to strengthen your core, create long lean muscles and improve your posture.


  • Essential/Intermediate reformer
  • This class is a step up from the Essential reformer level and continues to build on endurance and core strength while improving coordination and flexibility.

    In this medium-intensity class you will work both the core and peripheral muscles, to ensure you are on your way to having a strong and streamlined body as you continue to strengthen and stabilize the hips, knees, and ankles.

    You are required to attend at least 3 Essential reformer classes or 2 Private Foundation’s prior to attending an Essential/Intermediate reformer class.


  • Essential/Intermediate matwork
  • This class focuses on improving deep core strength, endurance and control. Exercises are selected to challenge mobility and stabilization through the core and peripheral muscles while adding flexibility and suppleness to your body. Resistance props are incorporated to add variety and familiarity.

    It is necessary to attend three Essential matwork classes before booking onto our Essential/Intermediate matwork class.


  • Intermediate reformer
  • This class incorporates more complex choreography and is delivered at a faster pace. It adds a level of complexity to further challenge and builds on benefits gained from your Pilates workout; introducing a new range of movements that further build tone and strength. A class for those who have already mastered the exercises at beginners' level.

    A good knowledge of Pilates is necessary to join this class.

     

  • Essential reformer
  • This class introduces the Reformer, the most popular piece of Pilate's equipment. Learn how to set up the reformer and methods of adjusting the pulleys as you master the proper technique required to build core strength, stability and mind-body awareness. Like the Essential matwork class, this class provides an energising total-body workout. Participants are welcome to stay in the Essential classes until they feel confident enough to enter the Essential/Intermediate class. Class capacity is five participants.

    This class is suitable for those who are moving on to reformer after attending at least 3 matwork classes or those who have done two Private Foundations.


  • Cardio Tramp class
  • Cardio-Tramp™ is a low-impact, high-energy Reformer workout that is ideal for all fitness levels and backgrounds.
     
    If you are new to the Studio it is necessary to complete at least three Essential Reformer classes or two Private Foundation sessions before joining this class, although due to its faster pace is best suited to those with experience of Pilates and those who are injury free.

  • Intermediate matwork
  • A brilliant workout, when you've learnt the basics and know what you're doing!

    Matwork classes at Intermediate level will provide a bigger challenge and take you through a dynamic, full-body workout that focuses on improving flexibility and core strength, with exercises that stretch and tone all muscle groups. Programming may vary from session to session to include: Stability Balls, Flex-Bands, Toning Balls, Fitness Circle®. Class capacity is ten participants.

    A good knowledge of Pilates is necessary and you should be injury free.

  • Cardio Tramp and Reformer

  • Teen Reformer
  • This Teen Reformer class uses the specialized Pilates Reformer machine and small equipment to provide a fun and challenging 45 minute workout.

    Children from 11-17 will learn a range of fun exercises to increase their flexibility, coordination, balance, strength and perhaps more importantly, body awareness with regards to correct alignment and posture.

    There is a maximum of 8 children per class.

    Classes are booked by half term.
